Pearsal, was in the Battle of Manassas as a member of Company B, Jeff Davis Legion, Mississippi Calvary.He was killed February 28, 1862 and is buried at Manassas Cemetery, Warrenton, Fauquier County, Virgina.This unit was organized Oct. 24, 1861 at Manassas, VA, as 2nd Cav. Bn. with 3 Miss. companies and 1 Ala. company, Maj. William T. Martin; designated Jeff Davis Legion late 1861 after adding 1 Georgia and 1 Ala. company).
Does anyone have information on the CSA record of E. J. Pearsal.I believe he was Edward James Pearsall, the son of one Charlotte Nunnery of Cumberland County, NC, who married William Pearsall of Duplin County, NC. Charlotte died February 10, 1836 in Duplin County.
