Spotted in the Brooklyn Stnadard Union obits of June 19, 1918. I hope it helps someone, I am not related.
Oliver PEARSALL, captain of an Erie Railroad tugboat for forty years, died yesterday at his home, 13 Middagh street. He was born in New Jersey seventy-three years ago and had been a resident of Brooklyn fifty-three
years. He was a member of Mechanics Lodge, I.O.O.F, and was an old member of Plymouth Church, having joined during the pastorate of Dr. Henry WARD BEECHER. He is survived by his widow, Catherine, and one daughter, Sarah. Funeral services will be held to-night at 8 o'clock at his late home. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery, Nyack, to-morrow.
