I have a Daisey and Lavinia Pearce (Daisey born in 1888 and Lavinia a few years before). They were illegitimate children of a Pearce of Cornwall and sent to U.S. as orphans. They are supposedly related to Richard Pearce (Black Dick Pearce--a privateer)....I believe their mother's name was Mary. Their father had other children, one of whom was named James.... Mary was supposedly a dressmaker for the family. there were three other boys...I don't have notes with me now....but do have other names.
