Richard,

Have you considered having your DNA tested? It appears as though Pie/Pearce's scattered during the late 1700's to early 1900's There are Pearce's of both kinds, and from several states living in every community where my group was living.

I had my DNA tested, and I found that some of the Pie/Pearce's living in the same neighborhood were not even related to me. Check out www.piercedna.com or familytreedna.com Comparing how much money I have spent for the last ten years searching for ancestors, this is easy, and I uncovered several mistakes in my genealogy immediately.
