This is not my family of Pearses so far as I can tellas none went to Australia. However my family was involved in the settling of Tasmania through the Van Dieman's Land Company.
Certain members of a Pearse family originally from Plympton, Devonshire, via Cork, Ireland, did go to Australia, Including James Langford Pearse, born Cork 1823. He married Emma Jane Bradley.
His brother William Henry Pearse, born 1/12/1832, Kemptee, India, went to Australia but the family lost touch after 1856 He was extremely tall--6'6".
Thats the best I can do for you
