Sorry to say there is not much likely connection between your wife's family and the Pearses of Heddington, Wiltshire from which I am descended. I have traced this family back to the late 1500's.
The other family group I have knowledge of traces back to Plympton, just outside Plymouth, Devonshire, also 1n the 1500's. However members of this family went to Australia in 1856-- Samuel Henry Pearse and William George Pearse. A relative General James Langford Pearse married Emily Jane Bradley, daughter of Hon. william Bradley in Sydney, NSW 2 SEpt. 1852 at St. James Church.
