Hello Belinda,

Merry Xmas.

Please accept my apologies for not having been in touch with you for quite a while but business has been busy and I misplaced your personal details re your address and email etc.

I have come across some interesting information which you may already have, but then again you may not, but when I discovered it several months ago, I was blown away as were my siblings.

My mother Florence Myrtle (nee Pearse) had a a great aunt Mary, who married George Freshwater. George had a brother William Henry who married a lady called Ruth Banks. They had a daughter IVY, who married GEORGE BERESFORD CALDWELL in 1917 at Burwood, and subsequently they had 2 daughters, Mavis Ruth and Betty.

MAVIS RUTH CALDWELL, married Frank Bridle in 1941 at Burwood. They had a daughter Lynette. Mavis died in 17th April 1945 at Burwood, aged 27 years, giving birth to her second child Narelle.

Her death notice reads BRIDLE, April 17th 1945 at a private hospital in Burwood. Mavis Ruth dealy beloved wife of Frank Bridle, of 63 Long Street, South Strathfield, and dear mother of Lynette. Fond daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Caldwell of 16 Cross Street, South Strathfield. Aged 27 years.

Lynette married JAMES SYDNEY GIBBS - my eldest brother. Lynette died in May 1994, and he has never remarried, and none of us had any idea of her ancestry till I came across it in October in my research.

Tracing ones ancestors takes a great deal of time, and this afternoon has given me a chance to update my notes and do some more research. Maybe one of these days I will get it all finished.

Best wishes
LINDA
