Pearse Family Letters Etc.
Posted by: Paul Hickling Date: November 21, 2001 at 05:06:09

I have in my possession some 35 letters starting in 1652 by John Pearse to the last letter by Frances Pearse in 1758. Innes Pearse was a preacher, was married to Anna Pearse and died in 1760 or 1761. I also have Innes Pearse's books from his time at Edinbugh University and a portrait of him painted around 1725. This came into my possession from my grandmothers side who was a Corney related to the Pearse family. A great deal of research was done by a researcher and a book was written about the lives of the people in the letters but was never published. This manuscript is at present on loan to my brother but will be back in my possession after Christmas. What interests me is to find the present day 'Mr. Pearse' and to be able to show him these treasures. If anyone has any info that will help to find him I would be pleased to hear from them.
