You may want to check the London Directories for that period. My notes indicate a James Pearse a butcher at 188 Dockhead, Bermondsey in Piggott's for 1827. I also have him in 1836. In 1844 there is both the butcher and a tripe dresser at 85 Bethnal Green Road. Also James Frodsham Pearse , abutcher at 3 Wilson St., Finsbury.
