Looking for information on John& Isabelle (Zahn) Peat(s). John's name was originally Peat, but rumor has it that Isabelle added an "s" at the end. They had nine children; Edward, Fanny, Leslie, Paul, Ruth, Eldrige, Harry and two children that died in infancy. Would like to find out who John's parents were. I was told that his father was a Methodist minister in Pennsylvania and came to the U.S. from England with his parents when he was 14. John is said to have been born in Pennsylvania around 1852. He had a sister named Minnie. John & Isabelle homesteaded in Hodgeman County, Kansas.
