I have been working on my (remote) connection to the Peat Family and I know that Mary Helen Peat and Jane Mary Peat were grand-nieces of Admiral David Peat who died in 1879 and they were mentioned in his Will.

I also know that their father John Peat was the son of James Peat born 1796 in Abbotshall, Fife. My connection is through his first wife Catherine Constable who he married in 1822 in Cupar, Fife

I have found the two girls as Scholars at Boarding Scool in Edinburgh in the 1881 Census. Do you know what happened to them after that?
