Joseph Peat (c1793-1861) Pudsey, Yorkshire and Chapelizod, Co Dublin

My gg grandfather was Joseph Peat (c.1793-1861) believed to have come from a wool manufacturing family in Pudsey, Yorkshire. The earliest documentary evidence I have of his existence dates from 1835. This was a directory entry for John Hoyle & Joseph Peat, wool manufacturers in Chapelizod, Co Dublin.
Joseph's wife (c.1819-1858) was also reported to have also come from a similar background in Pudsey. Her name was given as Elizabeth Brownrigg. I am, however, of the view that Brownrigg was her middle name and that she was the Eliza Hall whom Joseph married in Castleknock in 1836.
Joseph's buisness partner, John Hoyle (c.1791-1855) was reported to have come from Armley, Leeds. His father-in-law was a John Forbes of Wellington Street, Leeds.
Joseph and Eliza's sons were William Robert and Benjamin. These names have continued to be used up to the present day.
I would appreciate any information that would link Joseph to his Pudsey roots.
