Hello Anne,
Yes I am a Peat, and my line is originally from Lancs, where it is derived from Pink!
My grandfather,Alfred, moved down south and married my Grandmother,Marion Sparrow of Clapham,in 1895 in Reading.
They lived mainly in South London, where all my aunts and uncles and of course my father was born.
I know the problem of names being entered incorrectly as I managed to get on the 1901 census at the FRC in February to find my Great grandparents Sparrow in Kent.No trace at all so I phoned the help line when I got home and explained it all to him, half an hour later he rang me to say the name had been transcribed as Spannow.
I will search the CD's for you and get back to you shortly.
Bye for now,
