My, my…you obviously have a burr under your saddle.
FIRST: I have a hard copy of an 18 page paper titled “Descendants of Johann Franciscus Bibler” with no attribution. I received this from another researcher with this admonition ‘So, proof that the Lewis of the Frederick Co warrant/grant is son of the Johnnes… apparently comes from, take your pick: IGI, Ancestral file, …group sheets, e-mail messages that are 8 years old.
SECOND: I apologize that my reference to “no footnote” was not more clear. The first five footnotes cite the “Journal.” Footnotes 1-3 refer to Johann, his birth, marriage and death. Footnotes 4 and 5 refer to the births of John Christian Henry and Christian Henry. In other words the “Journal” is not used to cite anything relating to Lewis…to the contrary, footnote 10 referring to Lewis states simply, “is not mentioned in his father’s journal…”
THIRD: Much of the same information in the list of descendants is available online at many internet sites, including, but not limited to the Ancestry World Tree Project Smith-Bibler & Allied Families at: http://awt.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=smith-pennell&id=I0277 and http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=smith-pennell&id=I0277
FOURTH: You wrote, “This researcher has since realized an ERROR OR SO, but since this was never met [sic] for use but [sic] anyone but a small group of people and was part of group discussion, it was not intended for use on the open internet.” I can’t believe you even thought this, much less wrote it—surely you don’t believe you can post something on the internet and keep it in a closed circle?
FINALLY: You wrote, “Did you write these words yourself? Or was this a copy and paste job from an outdated post or file?”
After all of your exhortations, I really hate to disappoint you on not just one, but two counts! FIRST COUNT, except for the data first mentioned, the material that I have posted is MY WORK, MY RESEARCH or RESEARCH I have PAID to have done.
SECOND COUNT, yes, I know its dated. However, between THEN and NOW I’ve compiled and published eight genealogical record books, have two manuscripts ready to publish and am working on countless other genealogical projects.
Debbie Smith, your railings and accusations are one of the huge reasons why many researchers hesitate to post or reply to posts for fear of being humilated or belittled. I am sorry for you. You are certainly eaten up with something—nevertheless your ranting and raving here is an embarrassment to the genealogical community.
