Thomas Peay was my three-greats grandfather. His wife Susannah, or sometimes Susan Ann, was the daughter of a Revolutionary War Veteran. I know the couple had several daughters. I'm descended from their son, Samuel, who was co-executor with his mother of Thomas Peay's will. Samuel became a colonel of the Tennessee State Militia but did not see any action. He died of tuberculosis in 1854. His wife was Eliza Jordan, with numerous relatives in Williamson County. My great-grandfather, Zackariah (his spelling) joined the Union cavalry shortly before his 16th birthday.
