John Peay was born in Ireland, his son Joseph was born about 1765 in NC. Died Sept 1849, Coffee Co. TN.
Joseph Peay married Elizabeth Hunt Oct 3, 1805 in Coffee, TN she was b. Aug 14, 1771, in Ohio and died July 21, 1840.
Their children;
John L. Peay, 1806-1853 NC m. Frances Keele
David Peay 1809-1882 KY.
William Peay 1812-1881 Stephensville, Ky
Newman M. Peay 1813 Tnto 1884 KY m Mary Henry
Joseph Jr,Peay 1815 m. Elizabeth Martin
Mary Ellen Peay 1820 /tB n /W.M. Roach.
