Good morning,

My is Juanita Peay (surname). I am trying to locate information about the Black Peays who lived in Winnsboro. We have a Cousins association that holds family reunions every year in a different state. Three of the 6 names which take part are the Brevard, Truesdale, & McGriff families. My immediate Peay family resides primarily in Baltimore, MD although my mother, 2 sisters and a brother now live in San Francisco/Napa Valley and I have siblings in PA and Atlanta. My father's name is Thomas C. Peay, Jr and he passed in January 1992. His father's name was Thomas C. Peay, Sr who lived in the Wilson Park area of Baltimore. He used to grow cotton and received attention for this. I have been told that two slaves from Nigeria were brought to US. One remained in N.C. and other went back to Nigeria. The one who remained is who they think we are related to. Can anyone help me with this?
