Hello, Mary Ann.
Saw your posting. I have some information, don't know if it is helpful or not. In Tyler's Qtryly Mag., Vol. 10, July 1928-June, 1929, Pages 156 to 158. a bible record of the Allen Family. It also lists Joseph Tate's children, dob, & dod of some of them.
It has William Peay, born May 12, 1755, and d: Feb. 04, 1831. And Rachel b: November 30, 1757. It has Rachel Peay, d: Feb. 10, 1837. She is the daughter of Joseph and Ally (Hunter) Tate. Joseph's LW & T was found in a box of old wills in Rockingham County Courthouse in 1957. Any connection?
