Just saw your post on this family. We climbed Sumner's Knob(Williamson/Rutherford Co TN line) a couple of years ago trying to find the graves of Media Ann Peay and her husband, Thomas O.Jarrett. Is a good thing that was catalogued in 1967 as Eliza Peay's marker was one of the few still standing, much less visible due to lack of maintenance and a tangle of wild vines.
Thomas O.'s parents were Wm W. Jarrett and Sallie Hazlewood of Lunenburg Co VA. Sallie died in 1826, Wm remarried and moved to Williamson Co TN ca 1836. They lived right on the county line near what was the old Murfreesboro Highway. I would appreciate any clarification on the parents of Media Ann and Eliza Peay. Can you tell me where they lived? Thanks very much.
