Thurlow and Emma Peay family-- Ripley County, MO

Thurlow Peay was born 8-9-1867, died 4-15-1945. His wife Emma was born 2-17-1881. No death date is currently on the double stone for Emma. They rest in the Sugar Tree Baptist church cemetery near Poynor, MO in Ripley County.

Resting near Thurlow and Emma is Bell Peay, wife of W. H. Cross. According to the story handed down through the family Bell had a peg leg. Bell was born 6-18-1867 and died 1-26-1922.

In the next plot rest Nannie Peay, wife of J. D. Cross. The "J." stands for "Joseph." Nannie was born 10-17-1859 and died 4-12-1914

The next grave holds the remains of A. B. Cross, b. 6-8-1838, died 7-8-1922. The "A" stands for Abraham who was the father of W.H. Cross and J.D. Cross.
