George S. Peay was born about 1780, the son of George Peay and Elizabeth Stark. Perhaps the "s" is for Stark.

Austin Ford Peay was born about 1777, married about 1800. He was not the grandfather of Thomas Douglas Peay (born about 1803) but did have a grandson named Thomas.

In 1828, the name of the Mother of Thomas Douglas Peay was Nettie Allen, who deeded her son a slave named Aberdeen. I do not know who Thomas' father was, but would be interested.

Names of buyers at Estate Sales seem to include both relatives and neighbors. Thomas could even have been there without buying anything.
