Hello; Jennifer,in your post you did not tell how the French word POIS was pronounced,Pea or Poe ?? Would you please explain what Norman French means exactly.It was in King William County,Va.in the early 1700s that our name Seay got the present day spelling.Some Seay researchers thinks our name was Saye,Say,or See,do some of you think the name Peay is a true spelling ??
