Hi Judy,

I have just started researching my Peckham ancestors and am afraid that I have little information to share.

I recently found information on the LDS and Ancestry.Com sites regarding my ancestor, Eunice Peckham, but I have learned not to completely rely on information that has not been gathered from a primary source.
If this information is correct, we share common ancestors as one of my Peckham lines is through John (b. 1640).

That line continues through his son Issac(b.1688), Joseph (b.1738), to Sarah (Eunice's mother) born 1772.

The other line is through John (b. 1595) through his son William.

Before I can be comfortable relying on this information, I would like to establish more firm data on Eunice's parents who are listed as William Smith Peckham and Sarah Peckham. Were they both indeed Peckhams (something on the order of third cousins) and what brought them out to Jefferson Co. Ohio?

The information I have read on the Rhode Island Peckhams is all quite interesting. I live within a short drive of RI and would love to do some research, but am not experienced in that area. Any thoughts on where to start?
