My Peckham line is revealing its secrets very slowly and stubbornly. My great grandmother was born Minerva Lillian Peckham on May 27, 1895 in Boston. Her parents were David Palmer Peckham (b. in Connecticut) and Minerva Gertrude Mead (b. 1873 on Prince Edward Island, Canada). I do not know when or where David Palmer Peckham and wife Minerva G. (Mead) Peckham died. Minerva Lillian Peckham had a brother named David Ernest Peckham, born on May 11, 1893 in Boston and died March 14, 1981.

I have a strong hunch that I have found the parents of David Palmer Peckham. In the 1880 census for New London (Old Lyme), Connecticut, I found a George H. Peckham and wife Fanny M. with six children. One of which was born approximately 1873 named "David P." Another son, just 2 years younger, was named Ernest which, as I mentioned, is the middle name of David Palmer Peckham's son (my great grandmother's brother). Make sense? I have not been able to confirm the relationship yet, but it looks very good.

Does any of this look familiar? I would love to hear from anyone with a connection or any ideas.
