I don't know if George and Fanny are the ones you are looking for, but George Henry Peckham was born August 25,1837. One of his brothers was born in Old Lyme, but I am not sure just where the rest were born. Their parents were Isaac Henry and Fanny Maria (Brown) Peckham. They had six children in all. I have two letters written by George to his brother James. They were written in July 1861 from Oak Hill, Fairfax County, Vir, but he didn't put his address in the letter. If you can find out just what CT. troops were there at that time, you might be able to get more info. He was not married at the time the letters were written, but I know he did marry Fannie West. I have his grave stone information in a notebook, but I'll have to look that up.He and Fanny are buried in Duck River Cemetery, Old Lyme, CT. My great aunt was married to one of his brothers (James) and I have letters written to him from a number of his siblings.Hope this helps.
