More information about Lewis Peckham. He was a artist musician and soldier and was a captain under General cass in the U S army. He died in Vincennes,Indiana on September 8, 1822. Two or three letters tell of his experinces as a soldier traveling north into Canada, Detroit MI, Pittsburg PA, to Iowa and Indiana. Lewis and Indian princess wife Mary Dague had two children Lewis Peckham Jr born July 13, 1820 at Monezuma,Park County,Iowa and Hannah born May 27, 1823 and died on September 11,1825. Lewis and Mary are buried in Vincennes, Indiana. So I would suggest looking in Vincennes. I am sorry I don't have any more information for you. Best to you Charles
