Need clarification Sarah Peckham / William Weeden

Hi!

Just to open up an old bag of worms, I am still confused with Sarah Peckham, daughter of John and (either Mary Clarke or Eleanor) Peckham.

First question - I have seen so many birthdates for Sarah she could almost be her own grandmother! Does anyone truly know when Sarah was born?

Second question - According to most of the references I've seen on this board and others, Sarah married William Weeden, son of William. BUT (don't you just hate "buts")? -According to John Osborne Austin's "Genealogical Dictionary of Rhode Island," page 148, in a little note in the left hand column is the following note:

"Sarah (child of John) may have married John Greene d. 1740, of John and Mary (Jefferay) Greene. Children: 1. John, 2. Sarah, 1695, 3. Henry, 4. William, 1707, 5. Mary, 1715, Nov. 09. If this is correct, it may have been Sarah Peckham 3 (John 2, John 1) who married William Weeden."

Okay...does anyone know which Sarah married William Weeden?

Question 3 - many people with whom I have checked have many of the children of John Peckham born to his wife Mary Clarke. I find it highly unlikely that Mary, born c 1607, would have given birth to Phebe, for instance, born in 1666. Does anyone have more accurate information on which children belonged to which Mom?

Thank you so much for your help and consideration - it is greatly appreciated!
