Hello and thank you very much for all that wonderful PECKHAM info...and a lot of documentation. Please tell me the source of Kesiah/Kezia PARKER's parents names and her birthplace/date. My research indicates that her father was Thomas PARKER. She had one brother, John PARKER. There seems to be soom discrepancy in my sources for her mother's name. Some say HOLDEN...others DAY. I see a PECKHAM descendant got named Charles Jerome...likely after Charles Jerome SPRAGUE...the husband of Keziah's sister, Eliza Ann. It was the Charles Jerome SPRAGUE biography printed in a turn of the century history of Antrim county, Michigan which stated that his father-in-law had come from Yorkshire, England. Perhaps it was his wife (HOLDEN or DAY ?) who came from Chatham, Kent and they married there and brought Keziah into the world there??
I am going to see if Thomas & John PARKER's second naturalization papers shed any light on the situation when I can get to Lansing/State Lib.
Thank you again. I am going to forward your info to an elderly unmet cousin who is celebrating her 80th birthday this coming weekend. She should be pleased and surprised...unless she has this already.
