There are those who believe that a Sarah Peckham (possibly Beckham)1625-1709 was a Wompanoag woman who was the informal wife of John Greene (1620-1708) and by whom she had a child, Sarah Greene (1650-1672) ... Sarah Greene's first husband was Thomas Flounders(1649-1670). Her second husband was Joshua Tefft 1646-1676. Her mother, purported to be Sarah Peckham, was from Potowomut --- South Kingston, RI -- very near Providence, RI.
