Hi
Do you have a plat or anything showing where your Samuel's land was? Heran/Harmon DILDY/DILDINE's was on the backwaters of the Enoree River. I think the creek today is named DILDINE Creek and there is a water treatment plant on it. The creek shows up on the government maps.
On one side of Dildine's land was Samuel Peden/Paden and the other side was William Stoutenburg/Stoutenborough/Stoutenborroh and on the other 2 sides was vacant land. Dildine had bought his land or paid for it however from the governor of the territory at the time. You can find the Memorial/plat/etc on the SC Archives site. Now I know where Samuel Peden came from all that's left is to find where Stoutenburg came from. Maybe he came from NJ. I am trying to find who Herman Dildine traveled to SC with. I though DILDINE might have come from New Bern NC but no record of him seen there. I believe he came from NJ since hi son was born on the South Branch of the Potomac River on VA. Now WV.
