Hi,

Anything you can offer will be helpful.

Nancy Caroline Peden, born about 1813 in NC; married probably in Giles or Lincoln County, TN to Thomas Cashion. Their first child was born in Tennessee.

The marriage records in Giles County were burned by the Yankees,so I can't locate their marriage record.

We don't know who her father is. There are only three possible candidates in NC in 1810; William, James or Newett.

Another Cashion married a Peden in Pulaski (Giles County) TN. One of them was a Hearn. Nancy Caroline and Thomas Cashion's oldest son was named Thomas Hearn Cashion.

One of the Pedens in Oktibbehah County was Howell Peden, which is also a family name in Giles County. (Bryant Howell Peden)

From these similarities, I deduce that the some or all of the NC Pedens moved to Giles County.

This is all I have. I hope you can help.
