Hello. I have been trying to find that family in the 1850 and 1860 censuses. There were four PEEL brothers who served in the Civil War regiment 4th Tennessee Cavalry (Union).

JOHN W. PEEL b abt 1831 at Surry Co., NC. Enlisted Dec 16, 1862 at Clay Co., KY. Physical description: dark complexion, grey eyes, black hair, 5'8" Died in hospital Feb 3, 1863 at Louisville, KY.

JESSE L. PEEL b abt 1835 at Surry Co., NC. Enlisted Dec 17, 1862 at Clay Co., KY. Physical description: fair complexion, blue eyes, fair hair, 5'5" Died in hospital Feb 25, 1863 at Nashville, TN.

HENRY B. PEEL b abt 1838 at Surry Co., NC. Enlisted Dec 17, 1862 at Clay Co., KY. Physical description: dark complexion, grey eyes, fair hair, 5'8" Died in hospital Jan 19, 1863 at Louisville, KY.

DANIEL T. PEEL b abt 1842 at Surry Co., NC. Enlisted Dec 17, 1862 at Clay Co., KY. Physical description: dark complexion, blue eyes, fair hair, 5'6" Discharged March 1863, then joined the 1st Regt. Miss. Marine Brigade.

If you know which county these brothers were living in for the 1850 and 1860 census, please let me know.
