The information you gave is new that I did not have, thanks! There is a web site that has actual civil war diary of A.J. The following is the site, it is quite interesting!
I hope that is correct, the web site got cut off a little and it is hard for me to read. You should be able to find the site without any problem. I have accumulated the main line of Peels all the way back to 994 I believe. I received a copy of a book written by Jonathan Peel. If you would like some information from that book, I will be glad to forward. The only information I am missing is the parents of Joshua Peel, who married Ann Hunter. They are both from England. Joshua is said to be a cousin to Sir Robert, so the books I have found say nothing but the direct line. If you know of someone that may have the information, I would greatly appreciate it! By the way, I believe that the name is Volney, is it not?
