I have found my Peel family spelled several different ways. Peel,Peele,Peelle,Piel. You have to think of every way it could be spelled, because the census takers were not very good at spelling. They spelled names the way they sounded most of the time! It can be very frustrating.

If I can be of any help on your family, just ask. My family originated in England, then went to Canada, Nova Scotia and finally the states. There are alot of nice people on the Peel Genforum who are also researching the Peels, alot of which are in my family line, and I'm sure would be glad to help.

What do you know so far?
