The Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery had a touring exibition a few years ago on The Peale Family. With that exibition there was/is a companion book edited by the late Lillian Miller. She was the authority on the Peale/Sellers Families at the Smithsonian. She was also a friend of the family. The book "The Peale Family, Creation of a Legacy 1770-1870" is published by Abbeville Press in Association w/ The trust for Museum Exhibitions, and the National Portrait Gallery. Hope this helps. SMP's great five nephew.
