I have Robert moving to Selma after 1860, so I am certain that the Robert R. Peebles you list is the same person, although I am not sure why the Peebles name was used on the marker. All census data that I have seen refer to him as Peeples.

I am decended from James W. Peeples, brother of Robert R., who is buried in the Methodist cemetery in Plantersville. Their father, William H., is supposed to be buried in the Peeples cemetery in Plantersville.
