Hi Dan, Have you ever heard of the name Pethley. I had a grandfather Sherman Pethley who was put in a foundling home in Peru IND. and taken in by a Conner family in Marion IND. He was supposedly part indian, through his mother, and you could see it in his features, He was born Mar.8, 1892. When fourteen, he ran away from the Conners, who he thought were his parents, but an adopted sister, told him the truth. He went through the mans desk untill he found his papers and copied down his real last name. I thought he may have misspelled it. The only Pethley's I have ever found are in our family. Do you have any Sherman's in your line? Take Care, Shirley in Wa. State
