I think a lot of certificates contain guesswork!

This may be of interest to you, it's a list of Peggs buried at Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia, & if you click on any of them, it will give further details of that person, & you can click to see the actual grave location:

The "two local shepherds" mentioned here were apparently two young Pegg brothers, speared in the back by aborigines in 1849:

Er Peter, just came across a bit of a problem while rereading that web page: one of the two brothers killed was Peter Pegg, who was only 14! I doubt that he was married with a child by then!
