I think a lot of certificates contain guesswork!

The "two local shepherds" mentioned here were apparently two young Pegg brothers, speared in the back by aborigines in 1849:
This will particularly interest you, because it mentions: "...Peter H; aged 8 years Christened in Swepstone on 12-May-1835...":
Er Peter, just came across a bit of a problem while rereading that web page: one of the two brothers killed was Peter Pegg, who was only 14! I doubt that he was married with a child by then!
