Hi Deborah,
The information you sent me could mean that we may have a connection but how is the big question.
William Pegg married Elizabeth Wardell at Thorganby.
They are buried at St. Catherine Church Cemetery in Yorkshire England but I was informed that there is no tombstone but is recorded in the parish register.
Their son, John Pegg married in 1825 in Yorkshire and his wife's name is Mary. I think her maiden name is Foster but I have not obtained the marriage record yet.
John and Mary went to US and then first settled in
Johnstown New York before moving on to Marshall County West Virginia. It was still the state of Virginia when
John and Mary arrived in Marshall County.
They are buried at Fairview Cemetery Marshall County West Virginia. Their son Thomas is my great-great-grandfather.
He fought in the battle of New Market at New Market Virginia during the Civil War. Thomas's brother, William
was born at Johnstown New York.
I would like to hear from you. More details later.
Thank you.
