I don't have any specifics on your Cambridge guys. I do know of some Pegg's in the 1600's in the Deeping's north of Peterborough. We have managed to tie the Derbyshire/Leicestershire Peggs to the Norfolk Pegg's by common ancestor via DNA so there may be hope in reach back further with that method. The Derbyshire Pegg's used Samuel and William as given names a LOT.....let me have an email address and I'll ping over some trees
