Dear Dale:
My grandfater was Henry Pekrul, born 1862, married Ida M. Roloff, born 1867. My father, Michael Pekrul, born in l907, in Gumbinnen,
East Prussia. Today it an isolated part of Russia. Maps Prior to WWII may help you locate the town you are seeking.
Gumbinnen, Gusew, after WWII, example.
Posen seems east of West Prussia.
best wishes, mert pekrul
