Searching for Arcilla Pelkey or Sophie Pelletier, I found Arcilla in the 1880 NY census as my great grandfathers wife but in the 1900 Ny census I found Sophie, then in the 1920 Vt census Arcilla was his wife,according to the census Sophie was born aobut 1855 and Arcilla 1857. I know that Pelletier is french for Pelkey and thought maybe they were the same women or sisters. Is this any relation to you family. I haven't found the parents of either women yet. I do know that they lived in Clinton county NY, in Chazy, Does this sound like anyone you have heard of?
