pelkeys + prestons + crawleys in vt

Though not directly (so far) descended from pelkeys, the pelkeys married into our preston and crawley families. All cite "Canada"..."St Marys"..."Montreal"..."St Edouard" as various Canadian birthplaces; we simply cannot pin it down. Suspect that 'Preston' and 'Crawley' may be name changes, as Pelkey is. These families settled awhile in northeastern NY state, then migrated south into Rutland County VT (Fair Haven, West Haven) by 1840. Common first names: Henry, David, Phillip, Cyrille, Rose, etc. Hoping that tracking down this Pelkey line might lead to the other lines. Appreciate any help!!
