Hi Pamela, I have Abby Pelkey as being born in 1886 in Malone, New York. She died in 1958 in the town of Florida, Massachusetts. That she is the daughter of George and Sarah comes from Ruth Gifford Rogers, Abby and Jesse Gifford's youngest daughter who was born in 1925. She is alive, and lives in my town, so I got the info directly from her. Ruth did tell me that Sarah and George lived in Cheshire, but I'm not sure of death dates for them. Ruth has pictures and even has James Tallman's Civil War medals and some little baskets he used to carve out of peach pits. James served in the 96th New York Infantry Regiment. If you have some dates for George and Sarah, and John Pelkey and Josette Wells (plus names further back in their families) I'd be interested. Also, any pictures of any of these people further back from George and Sarah. Here is my e-mail: I thank you in advance for anything you can give me. I'd like to scan all of Ruth's pictures and stuff, and I called her a few times to come over and do it, but she kind of blew me off. They're in the state of Florida for the winter now too, but I could try to get you some pictures later on too if you want.
