Leona Pelkey

Leona Pelkey, 69, of Harbor Beach passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2005, at Courtney Manor Nursing Center in Bad Axe following an extended illness.

Born in Mt. Clemens on Dec. 7, 1935, she was the daughter of the late David Joseph and Carrie Irene (Chase) Pelkey.

Surviving are a sister, Diana Gurzick of Harrison Township, and two brothers, Clayton Pelkey of Mt. Clemens and Alfred Pelkey of Coldwater.

She was preceded in death by five brothers: Sonnie, Arnold, Walter, Edwin, and Arthur Pelkey; and sister, Leora Pelkey.

A graveside service will be conducted in the Clinton Grove Cemetery in Clinton Township at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005.

Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday at the Ramsey Funeral Home in Harbor Beach.
