There was a Delia Pelkey who married John Trombley. Delia died in 1902 and is buried in St Edmunds in Ellenburg (these records are on the web). I believe they had a daughter, Cora, born ca 1888.

Unfortunately, I don't think Delia is one of my wife's Pelkeys. According to a tree on Ancestry.com, Delia was born in 1861 in NY. My Pelkeys were still in Canada then and didn't make it to NY for another 15 years or so. I haven't ever seen a "Delia" in my Pelkeys. either. Clinton County is full of Pelkeys!

There are a lot of mentions of LaClairs in the Northern NY Historical Newspaper Archives, a treasure trove for Clinton County researchers.
