Oliver Ernest Pelletier, alias Oliver E. Pelkey, son of Oscar Pelkey and Mary Connelly, was born 17 November 1874 in Concord, New Hampshire, and baptized 22 November 1874 at Saint John the Evangelist Church, Concord, New Hampshire, sponsored by Philippe Pelletier and Han¬nah Powers . He died 1 September 1932 in Boston, Massachusetts, of gas poisoning, at age 57, and was buried 6 September 1932 at Calvary Cemetery, Concord, New Hamp¬shire . He was a harness maker and a musician . He married Hermione Cole 11 April 1899 at Saint John the Evangelist Church, Concord, New Hampshire, wit¬nessed by Philippe A. Pelletier and Éliza A. Pel-letier . Daughter of Edwin O. Cole and Emily E. ______ , she was born about 1 December 1878 in Wee¬hawken, New Jer¬sey . She died 10 May 1901 in Concord, New Hampshire, of acute albuminuria , at age 22, and was buried in Portsmouth, New Hampshire . Oliver moved to Providence, Rhode Island, about 1902 and was in New York City in 1925.

Notes for Oliver Ernest Pelletier:
His World War I draft registration card, dated 12 September 1918 in Providence, Rhode Island, reports that Oliver was of medium height, of medium build, and that he had brown hair and blue eyes. He signed “Oliver E. Pelkey.”

Article, from The Boston Post, Boston, Massachusetts :
“South End Lodger Commits Suicide”
Detecting an odor of gas, Miss Dorothy Wen-zell, landlady at 478 Columbus avenue, South End, last night went to the room of Oliver E. Pelkey, a lodger there, and found him dead. Police say that Pelkey, who was 50 years old, ended his life. A note found on a table, according to authorities, was written by the victim and told he was in “poor health both regarding his lungs and heart and could never recover.” The body was removed to the Southern mortuary.

Hermione Cole Pelletier, wife of Oliver E. Pelletier, passed away at the home, 161 North Main street, early last evening, aged 22 years, 6 months and 9 days. De¬ceased was born in Weehawken, N.J., but had resided here for about four years, winning a host of friends by her genial ways and kindly dispo-sition. She is sur¬vived by a husband and mother. Services will be held from the home at 8:30 a.m. Mon¬day, following which the body will be taken to Portsmouth for inter-ment.
