Polly
We may be close! My Frank (Francis) Pelkey came from Corsica according to James A Pelkeys Death Cert (b Sept 10, 1844 - d Sept 23, 1919). Frank's wife was Mary Dickson born in Ireland. I have an exerpt from a NB newspaper that states that the person in the Baptist Cemetary is "MRS James Pelkey, age 36. Her remains were taken to Centerville where funeral services were conducted and there interred. Left husband and five children. (April 1, 1876 CS). I know that my James A had 7 children. My grandfather, Frank Dickson Pelkey gives Helen Johnston as his mother on his wedding cert but by the time the family was in BC "Rhoda Jessie" was his wife. Which leads me to think that Helen Johnston is buried in NB. Also Frank Dickson gives his place of birth as Foreston, whick I think is in or near Aberdeen. One son of James A I think was born in Winnipeg in 1879 (name of Ambrose)
Help!!!
Christine
