I have just visited some relatives and I borrowed an old photo album which belonged to an elderly aunt. Along with photo's, she has a lot of newspaper clippings. As follows:
June 23, 1934
FELL 75 FEET, ESCAPED WITHOUT INJURY
Henry Pelkey, employed by the East Tennessee Light & Power Co, Bristol Tennessee, plunged 75 feet from the top of a smokestack. Hospital examination showed no fractured bones and no blood loss. etc etc
He has to be a family member for her to cut it out but he doesn't show up on my tree. Does any of this sound familiar to you?
