On the main Pellatt tree Leonard as a Christian name occurs only twice.
The first at about 1700 as son of William and his second wife Katherine Gale.
Michael is also an uncommon name for a Pellatt
Bernard and Robert virtually unknown!
Jean (Jane Jone Joan) offers too many possibilities to suggest a line of enquiry.
Leonard had a twin brother Henry.
The second Leonard was Williams' great grandson born 1761 and died 1785.
This Leonard had brothers Thomas, William and Henry. Henry also died young.
Williams' grandson in 1803 was the first and only Michael Pellatt I have come across.
There was a lot of inter marrying of families and Christian names carried through many generations.
You will find alot of information posted in the files of the Pellett egroup.
Good hunting, and let us know how you get on.
Chris Pellett
